(Rock) Bottom Feeders - Raps lose to the NBA WORST OKC Thunder
Wow. It really happened. The Raptors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder (91-83), who have won 2 games until tonight and lost 24. The worst team in the league, by far, beat us. You know how bad they are? After the win, Desmond Mason said “It felt like we won a championship.” Nick Collison added
“Desmond said he thought they were going to bring us hats with a 3 on them for our third win of the year. It felt like that. With the season we’ve had, who cares?”
Yes, the Raps have been horrendous lately, and I’ve read all the jokes o
n Raptors message boards across the Web saying we’ll probably lose tonight against the Thunder too, but I didn’t think it was actually going to happen. But it did. I’m not so much shocked as I am…apathetic. This is what it’s come to. This is, unquestionably, rock bottom.
Props to the Thunder though. The insult to the injury was the dunk by Jeff Green. And watching Kevin Durant blow-by Anthony Parker just made me shrug my shoulders. AP’s been getting more drive-bys on a nightly basis than a gang-ridden neighbourhood.
Bosh getting in Jamario Moon’s face was great by the way, and tonight, despite the brutal shooting performance, CB4 almost willed us back in the fourth - but too bad he had no help. And what happened to Jermaine O’Neal? Do you really think he quit on us and is faking it?
I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen tomorrow night in San Antonio. I predict Manu Ginobili goes off for 35.
